About Us

Linchpin Media understands the importance of clean, clear, quick-turn communications.

Christine Van Dusen founded Linchpin in 2007 after 11 years as an award-winning newspaper, magazine and online journalist known for her prose, punctuality and professionalism.

Her stories have appeared in publications across the country — including Atlanta Magazine, US Weekly, Fodor's Travel, the Bond Buyer, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Charlotte Magazine and the Progressive — and on a variety of news and entertainment websites.

This work has won Christine significant praise, including numerous Associated Press awards. In 2005, her story about a felon's search for a second chance was named a finalist for the Livingston Award, the greatest honor for journalists under 35. Her work also has been submitted for consideration for a Pulitzer Prize. (For samples, please click the "features" and "biznews" tabs above.)

In addition to writing for print and online publications, Christine is an accomplished copywriter for the public relations and marketing industries. And as of fall 2009, Christine is working as a journalism professor at Georgia College and State University.

After graduating from the University of Rochester in New York in 1995, Christine went on to complete her master's degree at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. In 2007 she participated in the prestigious Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellowship Program at the University of Michigan.

A native of New Jersey who has lived in Atlanta for 10 years, Christine enjoys singing, athletics and spending time with her husband, Steve, and their two dogs, Piglet and Sadie Roo.

"Christine is great to work with. She's enterprising in pitching story ideas and goes above and beyond to complete an assignment. She's a thorough researcher and quick on her feet when it comes to last-minute interviews."
